The National Rifle Association
Founded in 1871, the NRA is the oldest civil-rights organization in the United States. ArmsAmerica is proud to stand alongside the NRA as a partner in the defense of the Second Amendment and the promotion of responsible firearm ownership. The summary below explains what the organization does today; for membership and donations, follow the links to nra.org.
Firearm safety education
The NRA trains roughly 750,000 people each year in safe firearm handling, including the long-running Eddie Eagle GunSafe program for children, hunter education, and women-on-target clinics.
Marksmanship & competition
NRA-certified instructors teach pistol, rifle, shotgun, and personal-protection courses nationwide. The NRA also sanctions competitive shooting events from local matches up through the National Championships at Camp Perry.
Second Amendment advocacy
The NRA Institute for Legislative Action (NRA-ILA) tracks and weighs in on firearms-related legislation at the federal, state, and local level, and the NRA Civil Rights Defense Fund supports legal cases that test gun-rights questions.
Hunting & conservation
Through the NRA Hunters’ Leadership Forum, the organization promotes hunter recruitment, wildlife conservation, and access to public lands — issues many ArmsAmerica buyers care about directly.
ArmsAmerica’s relationship with the NRA
We highlight the NRA on this page because the work it does — safety education, training, and constitutional advocacy — directly benefits the lawful gun owners who are the heart of our marketplace. We do not collect dues, donations, or membership fees on behalf of the NRA, and we are not paid to feature them. Membership decisions, and any contributions, happen entirely at nra.org.
